A soft-sided shade is a more traditional look with fabric on the outside of the shade and lining on the inside of the fabric. Soft-sided shades are either pleated or stretched.
A hard-backed shade is either paper or fabric that is laminated or backed onto a card. Hard-backed shades are used more often in modern settings. |

Just Shades - String Soft-Sided Shades
We carry a variety of String Soft-Sided Lamp Shades. Our most popular sizes and styles are listed below for Empire String, Cut Corner Empire Rectangle String, Cut Corner Square String, and Empire Oval String styles.
A soft-sided shade is a more traditional look with fabric on the outside of the shade and lining on the inside of the fabric. Soft-sided shades are either pleated or stretched. Lightbulb clips are also an option if you do not have a way to attach the lamp to the shade.
